ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

I started learning how to use Adobe Photoshop out of interest and curiosity and in hope of increasing my knowledge in specific programmes. I watched many YouTube videos for the basics and then began experimenting.

For my A2 coursework, as previously mentioned, we had to make ancillary products. I chose to create the digi-pak which had to follow the forms and conventions of one.
This is the front cover I made, I used a photo we took while filming in Leake Street Tunnel. I increased the contrast and highlighted specific parts of graffiti that needed to stand out.

This is the whole digi-pak I constructed, the front cover, the two insides and the back. I made these all on photoshop using images taken at our photo shoot. The quote on the inside left, is from Sylvia herself.

For my AS Media coursework, we had to create a vampire horror opening sequence in a group of 3. For this, we created a narrative consisting of 5 campers who go into a forest and camp out. One of the campers hear an unusual cry for help and follows the sounds. He comes across a young man with what seems to be a vampire bite on his neck. We called it, Abandoned Camp.

I was allocated the role of creating the production company logo (Wide Eye Productions) and making the poster for the marketing of our trailer:

The camera lens background was taken of Google Images, however, the eye is my friend's, which I cropped out from the original and placed it 'in' the camera lens as if it was coming out.
This is my favourite project I have done on Photoshop because it took me 2 days to make sure everything was perfectly cropped and placed. I am very proud of this.

This is an advertisemet poster for Abandoned Camp, as part of marketing. I placed the red eye in the 'stick-tent' to connote the idea of him watching over everyone. This particular project consisted of a lot of fading in order to get specific aspects to stand out. The other character in the long shot is somewhat oblivious to the consequences he may face by being alone, he looks lost and therefore attracts the audience as they are curious about these two interesting characters.
